OVEN GRILLED TILAPIA

by Jean Gustave Sano

Fishing has consistently ranked among my favorite hobbies, and few things rival the taste of a fish freshly caught. While fishing might involve a few tricks and perhaps a bit of experience, cooking fish, on the other hand, remains a simple task that demands minimal to no prior experience. Despite the myriad varieties of fish available, you can employ this straightforward technique to prepare and cook any type you prefer. Believe me, you can't go wrong with it!

INGREDIENTS:

- Whole Tilapia

- Olive Oil

- Lemon

- Seasonings (salt, black pepper, chili powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, basil, garlic powder, paprika, ground cumin, lemon pepper, homemade fish seasoning)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Prepare your tilapia, dry it from all moisture and make cuts on both side of the fish, just like in the picture.

2. Mix all your seasonings together with olive oil and add 1/2 lemon juice.

3. Using a brush season your tilapia and let it sit for at least 10 minutes.

4. Since we are placing the tilapia directly on the grill grates, to prevent it from sticking, use a paper towel and brush the grates with oil.

5. Now pre-heat your oven to 425°F and grill for 25-30 minutes. Place a baking pan underneath the tilapia to capture all its drippings.

AND VOILA, ENJOY!😋
